This week we take a look at what cars Canadians drove off the sales lots in June.

The charts below were compiled using data provided by auto analyst Dennis DesRosiers. In June, Ford was the sales leader with a total of 31,706 vehicles sold — representing its best month on record in 10 years.

Trailing Ford, General Motors and Chrysler Canada also enjoyed a strong month. Both automakers underwent massive restructuring in 2009.

This next chart examines year-to-date sales of passenger cars, light trucks, GM, Ford and Chryler nameplates and import nameplates, as compared with the year before. The graph indicates, as DesRosiers later pointed out, that some import manufacturers are yielding market share to U.S. automakers.
