Barack Obama to speak about U.S. economy
Performance shows signs of strengthening, with 2nd-quarter GDP growing at annualized rate of 4%
As the U.S. economy shows signs of strengthening with GDP growing at an annualized rate of four per cent in the second quarter of this year, President Barack Obama plans to weigh in on his economic policies today.
The rapid growth rate was a surprise after a harsh winter led the economy to shrink in the first quarter.
Later today, the U.S. Federal Reserve will release its latest interest rate decision.
