CBC News Online | February 4, 2002

On Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, CBC featured a Big Picture look at volunteering and charity in Canada. Programming included a full day of coverage on Newsworld and CBC Television and indepth coverage from CBC News Online. Some of the video from the day is available here, and more material will be added to this site, including video of other items from CBC TV.

Newsworld will air a program with highlights from the Big Picture on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

  • A backgrounder on volunteers looks at how many and how much Canadians volunteer, and how we compare with other countries.
  • A backgrounder on donating to charity look at how much money Canadians give and to wwhat kind of charities.
