How to help tsunami victims: Donating money or time
CBC News Online | Updated January 19, 2005

The following non-profit organizations are among those collecting donations to help survivors of the Dec. 26 tsunami.

The CBC provides these links for your information only and not as an endorsement of any particular charity. If you want to donate to a charity, contact the organization directly for information on how funds are distributed.

The federal government has said that it will match donations made by individual Canadians to Canadian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) already involved in responding to the disaster. This section is a list of the NGOs that have so far been approved.

If you want to make a donation, we suggest you check their websites and decide for yourself if the relief work they are doing matches how you want your money used.
