Part Seven: RCMP Statement, 1996

Insp. Gary Bass, Head of RCMP’s Air India Task Force calls SIRC report about CSIS' destruction of wiretaps "grossly inaccurate." Bass says CSIS destroyed valuable evidence which could have solved the case:







Bass adds that embarrassing facts will emerge at trial and that the "gross inaccuracy" of the SIRC report will be evident. He also says some of the suspects may be agents for the Government of India (GOI), its Research and Analysis Wing (RAW–the Indian intelligence service) and/or CSIS. Bass says "the implications are obvious."
