The Canadian version stars Erin Karpluk as Erica Strange, who is given a chance to go back and rework regrets from her past in an unusual form of time travel.

No announcement was made on casting for the U.S. show.

Being Erica has finished its third season on CBC and has been running on SoapNet in the U.S. It has been sold in more than 25 countries around the world.

Maggie Friedman, scriptwriter for Eastwick and Dawson's Creek is to adapt the script for U.S. production. Friedman will also produce with Temple Street co-presidents David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg.
