Paul Fauteux of CBC Radio drama Afghanada and K.C. Collins of Guns, a CBC miniseries that explores rising gun violence, have nominations for ACTRA Awards, given by Canada's actors union.

Fauteux's nomination in the voice category comes for his portrayal as Pte. Dean (The Machine) Donaldson in the long-running radio drama about Canadian Forces in Afghanistan.

Actors from Canadian police dramas The Line and Flashpoint have multiple nominations for the Actra awards.

Daniel Kash, who plays morally ambiguous police officer Donny on The Line, and Tasha Lawrence, who plays his ex-wife, are up for the awards, which recognize performance excellence. Flashpoint actors Kathleen Munroe and Noam Jenkins also are nominated.

This year ACTRA Toronto's 2010 Award of Excellence will be presented to Colin Mochrie of Whose Line is it Anyway? Getting Along Famously and CBC's This Hour has 22 Minutes.

• Tasha Lawrence, The Line.
• Kathleen Munroe, Flashpoint.
• Kateri Walker, feature film Kissed by Lightning.

The nominees for best male performance:

• K.C. Collins, miniseries Guns.
• Ennis Esmer, TV series The Listener.
• Allan Hawco, feature film Love and Savagery.
• Noam Jenkins, Flashpoint.
• Daniel Kash, The Line.

The awards will be presented Feb. 19 at a gala hosted by Geri Hall of This Hour has 22 Minutes in Toronto.
