Adam Lambert may be banned from The Jimmy Kimmel Show, but ABC is willing to put him up against the female hosts of The View.

Lambert has been invited to perform on the daytime talk show on Thursday.

Broadcaster ABC was wary of the glam-rocker after his performance on the American Music Awards featured a gay kiss and simulated oral sex.

The network had axed his appearance on its Good Morning America show and also on Kimmel's late-night show. Lambert also claimed he has been dropped from a New Year's Eve special.

The ladies of The View were some of his strongest denouncers, with Sherri Shepherd saying he had betrayed his American Idol fan base and Elisabeth Hasselbeck claiming he would ruin his reputation as a singer with such antics.

"Does anyone know what song he sang?" Hasselbeck said on the day after his awards show performance. "And does anyone remember what he sounded like? Because let me tell you this, this is a mistake Adam Lambert will make time and time again. We will not remember him as a performer or someone with a voice if he continues to do this."

However, Barbara Walters has included Lambert among her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 in a special to air Wednesday on ABC.

Lambert has been making the promotional rounds for his new album For Your Entertainment.

Named the American Idol runner-up earlier this year, he announced in a Rolling Stone cover story that he was gay after the reality TV competition ended, telling the magazine, "It's time to take risks."
