CBC reassigns correspondents in Ottawa, U.S.

In a change of guard at CBC's Ottawa bureau, Terry Milewski will become the senior political correspondent and Evan Solomon will host the political show as part of several assignment changes on network TV news.
Jennifer McGuire, general manager of CBC News, made the announcement on Wednesday.
Milewski becomes the senior reporter covering politics in Ottawa. A senior CBC reporter now based in Vancouver, Milewski has recently covered the inquiry into the death of Robert Dziekanski following a Taser incident at Vancouver airport. Milewski had previously been stationed in Washington and the Middle East.
With the retirement of Don Newman, changes are coming to CBC's daily Politics show on Newsworld.
Solomon has been chosen to host a new political show to run two hours on Newsworld. Further details of the new political program have yet to be confirmed.
Solomon was formerly host of CBC News: Sunday, which gave its last broadcast last month, but is in repeats. He continues as host of CBC News: Sunday Night until the end of August. .
In other changes:
- Keith Boag moves from Ottawa to become a correspondent in Los Angeles.
- Susan Bonner moves from Ottawa to the CBC's Washington bureau.
- Paul Hunter is to be officially posted to the Washington bureau.
- David Common moves from the Paris bureau to New York.
