Established artists making interesting comebacks are the focus of CBC host Tom Power's weekly look at new music.

After suffering a major spinal injury, singer-songwriter Beck had a long road to recovery. Making up for lost time, he's back with Morning Phase, the first of two new albums set for release this year.

Meanwhile, world music icon Angélique Kidjo returned to her homeland of Benin to record her latest. But, rather than stay in West Africa for her album Eve, she teams up with choirs from all over the continent.

Finally, former Bedouin Soundclash singer and guitarist Jay Malinowski tackles more of a personal project in the upcoming album Martel. Blending pop and classical music, the release officially comes from Jay Malinowski & The Deadcoast, aka the West Coast string trio better known as The End Tree.
