Perez Hilton vs. The Black Eyed Peas

Throngs of people flocked to the corner of Queen and John in Toronto for last night’s star-studded MuchMusic Video Awards, but it appears the real theatrics unfolded on the after-party circuit in the wee hours of the morning.
In a flurry of tweets and a video statement posted on his site, gossip blogger Perez Hilton is alleging he was physically attacked by the manager for the Black Eyed Peas, after Hilton exchanged heated words with BEP frontman Will.i.am at a late-night party following the awards broadcast.
For his part, Will.i.am has now posted his own video response to Hilton’s claims, in which he denies the assault, offers up his version of the events that went down last night and adds, “somebody wants mad attention,” before questioning the fact the well-known blogger is “twitting” about the drama. According to the Canadian Press, Peas manager Polo Molina turned himself in to police and has been charged with assault.
In a strange sidebar, Toronto’s SoHo Metropolitan Hotel, which played host to many of the presenters and performers at the MMVAs, issued a press release this morning, in which it appeared to distance itself from the incident. It emphasized that while Hilton had sent his assault-related tweets from a friend’s room at the SoHo, any alleged physical altercations occurred at the Cobra nightclub.
I’ve watched both videos a bunch of times, and still have no idea who’s offering up the “true” account of what went on last night.

Regardless of who hit him, he likely deserved it. Perez Hilton is a bottom feeder who has nothing but deplorable, disgusting and negative things to say about people.
I'm not surprised, in fact when I first heard this morning that Perez had been assaulted, I immediatly thought of the Black Eyed Peas..I think hes exchanged words with Fergie recently either in person or via his blog, im not sure which..but I figured words would be exchanged. Actually his blog can be brutal at times and its no shock that this happened. Having said that, I hope hes ok. I abhor violence like this.
not that i'm a huge fan of either one of these two... i definitely think it was just perez being him fairy little self and being dramatic again!! he would do anything to get the mildest form of publicity and it's always in a negative way! whether it's gossip or pathetic "injuries", leave it to perez! it wouldn't take much to hurt him but let's just let him heal and see what other nonsense he comes up with after this blows over!

Bottom feeder or not nobody ever deserves to get hit (unless you are inflicting harm or pain on another). Obviously SOMEBODY hit him. Sure, is an eccentric fellow but that doesn't mean he should be written off. I have a funny feeling that he is telling the truth actually.

Lots of people deserve to be hit and Perez is one of them. There is nothing redeemable on his blog; he makes his living by publicly humiliating other people. Anyone doing that should accept that they deserve regular beatings.

The Black Eyed Peas might be a parody of themselves (Boom Boom Pow is a complete rip off of She's so Hot Boom by Flight of the Conchords, which is a Black Eyed Peas parody.), but I have to admit that I fully support their punching Perez Hilton initiative.

Never before have so many people been a fan of something done by the Black Eyed Peas.
Yeah, well, maybe this guy ran his mouth a little too much, but maybe not. Violence is a pretty powerful tool, and if used properly can do a lot of good, (defending people, or yourself from serious harm). But I think the type of guy that beats people like this, is a weak, tiny little man. Sure people might get annoying, but bullying isn't right.
I personally think that Perez is lying, and is trying to revive his image. No one likes him, his blog is mean and, in my opinion, the national inqurier of electronic media.
I'm thinking it was some chick who hit him. But instead of saying he was hit by a random girl, he says he was hit by a black guy as it sounds more dramatic.
His injury doesn't look that sever, and it's small. It looks like it might have been sratched by a stone froma girl's ring, it's much to small to be from a guy's ring. I'm not an expert or anything just saying the size doesn't seem to fit his story.
I do feel sorry for him, no one deserves to be attacked...but then again it is Perez Hilton, so he most likely deserved it.

He writes about celebrity gossip and gives his truthful opinions on whether music, movies, fashion, whatever, is crap or not. Sometimes he's going to write stuff about your music. Get over it. Don't read it if it really bothers you that one guy hates your new single. I think there is no reason for him to have been hit. So what, he called you a name? Violence was not necessary what-so-ever. Just stupid. I don't think he had it coming, nor did he deserve it.

I think Will I Am should sue Perez Hilton for slander, as he publicly printed false allegations in saying at first that it was Will I Am himself who had assaulted him and not the I Ams manager.
Then Hilton should be forced to go on a date with Chris Brown....

I think we need to pull two important pieces of information out of this story. Regardless of how we feel about either party involved:
#1. It is never acceptable to utter slurs regarding racial or sexual orientation. No matter who they're said by or to. Never. The fact that Perez is openly gay actually makes his use of the term in this instance far worse.
#2. Management for the Black Eyed Peas has actually turned himself in and was charged with assult in this incident.
In which case, I think we do know what happened and why.

Sometimes people get exactly what they deserve...it's called consequences. I don't think violence is the answer but I do think that sometimes people need a wake up call. This guy has made a living off of putting others down. It was only a matter of time before he got what was coming to him. All that negativity he puts out there was bound to come back to him. For some reason, I don't think he'll change.
God, they're both pretty useless as entertainers and as people. They're also both hypocrites. Just through them all on an island, we'll be better off in the end.

As an openly gay man, I wasn't surprised that Perez got hit and I suspect he probably deserves it. There is nothing that I can't stand more than people who gain fame from the destruction of other people's lives or invassion of their privacy - that's a horrible way to make a living. The fact that he exposed personal photos of the guy who wrote "Milk" engaging in intercourse with some guy - I was beyond outraged. I am not a violent person; but I am one who believes in you get what you deserve. Do unto others yo'.
Barack Obama can swat an annoying fly and (almost) nobody complains. Perez Hilton is still alive, and now there's a lawsuit. Where's the justice? Equal treatment for all insects!
