Diamonds are a girl's (and Suge Knight's) best friend

Much like those annoying actor-slash-director-slash-producer types, Marion "Suge" Knight just keeps adding to his growing list of titles. First he was the co-founder and CEO of legendary rap label Death Row Records, once home to Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Then, while Suge was himself incarcerated for violating parole, he acted as a advice columnist-cum-lobbyist by appealing to the jurors at P. Diddy's trial. Most recently, Knight has taken on the role of plaintiff, thanks to his new lawsuit against Kanye West.

Knight was shot at West's 2005 MTV Video Awards pre-party and is seeking damages for medical expenses, a 15-carat diamond stud earring he lost (which he values at $135 000 US) and (wait for it) compensation for the mental anguish resulting from "the loss of use and enjoyment of the earring."

Knight declared bankruptcy in 2006 and filed this suit against West on Oct. 30 in a L.A. bankruptcy court. He claims that West is responsible, since the shooter was able to get past the party’s security with a deadly weapon. Additionally, Knight claims he needed to take a private jet back from Miami because of the shot to his upper leg.

Damn, it can't feel good to be the gangster whom no one wants to invite to any more parties. Poor guy doesn't even have his best and only friend, the earring, to comfort him anymore.
