Interesting story on Gawker this morning. Apparently Paramount is branching out into video game production. And now that the VG industry has finally accepted that, yes, girls are gamers too, their braintrusts have gone into overdrive in an effort to figure out how to market games to women.
Paramount's solution: develop a line of casual games based on Paramount-produced chick flicks. The first three titles are Clueless, Mean Girls and Pretty In Pink (oh, Duckie...).
If they continue to mine their back catalogue for inspiration, I can only hope that Big Top Pee-Wee: the video game is in the works. Heck, I'd take Ferris Bueller's Day Off in a pinch.

Did you know the failed CBC series "Ciao Bella" was also turned into a casual game? Oddly, I found the game for sale (and on sale) in Absecon, New Jersey. Same characters as on the show, set in Montreal just like the show.
