Jabbawockeez, a San Diego hip hop dance group that won the first season of America's Best Dance Crew, now has a long-term gig in Las Vegas.

The Monte Carlo Casino-Resort has signed a deal to have Jabbawockeez perform there five nights a week beginning in October.

The group, which takes its name from the Jabberwocky of Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass, performed at the MGM Grand resort earlier this year. Their show is called Mus.i.c (pronounced "muse I see").

The seven dancers opened for New Kids on the Block and have made numerous television appearances since winning the reality TV show in 2008.

They replace headline magician Lance Burton, who has performed on the Las Vegas Strip for the past 14 years.

Burton ended his run at the Monte Carlo on Saturday, a split announced in April. Neither Burton nor the resort gave a reason for the parting of ways.

Burton has performed in Las Vegas for 29 years, beginning in the cabaret show Les Folies Bergère at the Tropicana.
