The Nightingale will fly again Nov. 2.

Citing ticket demand, Toronto's Canadian Opera Company has added an extra performance of The Nightingale and Other Short Fables at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts.

All six scheduled performances over the next two weeks are sold out. About 2,000 more tickets are available for the additional performance Nov. 2.

The ambitious new opera designed by Quebec's Robert Lepage involves opera singers in a raised pool on stage and uses water puppets.

It is sung in Russian with English surtitles to music by Igor Stravinsky.
