It is being produced as part of the ensemble's Sunshine Series, which spotlights new political plays.

Preview performances begin June 11 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theatre.

The three speakers — a U.S. soldier, a British weapons inspector and an Iraqi mother — tell their personal stories of war.

The play won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, an annual U.S. award for a female playwright.

It has been produced in Calgary and Toronto.

The New York production will be directed by Daniella Topol and star Teri Lamm and Heather Raffo.

Thompson is a two-time Governor General's Award winner and author of White Biting Dog and The Crackwalker.
