Just stumbled across the Chicks with Hits online music mix, which pulls together songs by female artists of the 1980s and '90s. Put together by two professional New York-area DJs, Winslow and Johnny Cocco, it features much better production than those mix tapes and CDs we used to pass around in the days before digital playlists. The third edition pops up online Tuesday, making nearly three hours of female voices.

It's definitely a blast from the past - with names like Cyndi Lauper, Enya, Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner and Blondie. It's better than your old Women and Song CDs played back to back. Makes me remember how much fun pop music can be. We're only just starting to tap the potential of internet radio to get us dancing around the room.
