The latest instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise finds Disney in a difficult place: having to go back to basics somewhat after changing directors and losing two of its original stars. Sadly, it seems returning the series to its roots has turned the blockbuster back into an amusement park ride: a harmless, mildly amusing journey filled with spectacle to spare.
Even in the age of Twitter and viral videos, I still marvel at the speed with which an artistic endeavour can spin off into other media. Case in point: a hilariously tongue-in-cheek, yet-to-be-published spoof of bedtime reading titled Go the F--- to Sleep.

With a raucous rebel yell, the experimental group tUnE-yArDs -- led by groovy frontwoman Merrill Garbus -- offered up its driving, high-energy sound at a sold-out show in Toronto.
Everyone knows the hat. Princess Beatrice wore it at the Royal Wedding - showing up all the other stuffy hat wearers. And now the internet universe is treating the world to dozens of memes of the antlered wonder.
