Elvis bible sells for $92,000 at auction

Elvis Presley's personal Bible is full of his handwritten notes. (Jon Super/Associated Press)A bible used by Elvis Presley has sold at auction for about $92,000 in England.
Used by the late singer until his death Aug. 16, 1977, the holy book is full of handwritten notes, annotations and thoughts.
A British collector, who owned a massive collection of Elvis memorabilia, sold several items at an auction in Stockport, Cheshire, over the weekend.
The bible contains the singer's handwritten notes, thoughts and annotations.
"You could hear a pin drop when it sold for that price,” said Karen Fairweather of Omega Auctions. She revealed three bidders were competing for the bible, which was eventually bought by an American buyer living in England.
It was expected to fetch around $39,000.
The 1,600 page book was given to the singer by his Uncle Vester and Aunt Clettes for his first Christmas at his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tenn., in 1957.
