Filmmaker Jeremiah McDonald, 32, has gone back in time — sort of — to talk to the 12-year-old boy he used to be, as seen in a videotape recorded 20 years ago.
In a new spliced recording, assembled for a now-viral YouTube video, the two appear to have a conversation. The young Jeremiah opens with a bit of teasing: "Gettin' older man, gettin older."
The youngster then opens the question-and-answer chat with, "So how are things?"
Young Jeremiah reminds his present-day self of a long-forgotten passion for animating cartoon characters.
The older man from Maine then reminisces about a talent that went by the wayside after the internet came along and he "got lazy and went into filmmaking."
