After 60 years in show business, Tony Bennett has his first No. 1 album with Duets II.

Bennett, who turned 85 this summer, teamed up with Amy Winehouse, Michael Bublé, k.d. lang, Aretha Franklin, Carrie Underwood, Willie Nelson and Lady Gaga for the album.

It reprises classics from the American Songbook, songs that Bennett believes are far from old-fashioned.

Mainly successful in a career that had its ups and downs, Bennett says he's ready for his renewed popularity.

In an interview with Jian Ghomeshi, host of CBC's Q cultural affairs show, the singer talks about working with this diverse group of artists and why this is the right time for him to score a top-selling record.
