Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell is set to be a guest star on the new season of Bomb Girls, about women working in factories during the Second World War.

The show, which airs on Global, was originally slated to be a one-off six-part series but was green lit for a second season.

Meg Tilly stars as Lorna, a factory manager who oversees a team of young women working to create munitions for the war effort.

O'Donnell is set to play a character named Dottie in the ninth episode of the second season, which is currently shooting in Toronto.
