Polaris-nominated electro-pop artist Grimes is cancelling her upcoming European tour, citing health issues.

The Vancouver-raised, Montreal-based singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, announced on Wednesday that she's cancelling shows slated for Europe and the U.K. She had been scheduled to begin the series with a date in Bristol, England, on Nov. 13.

"It's depressing to cancel more shows, but we have to cancel all Grimes dates in Europe due to health issues," the 24-year-old singer posted via Twitter.

Despite being shortlisted for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize for her dance-pop release Visions (her fourth album), the rising electronic music star has had a run of bad luck and heath woes over the past few months.

While on tour in August, she had gear stolen in Manchester. In September, she mentioned having sprained both ankles recently.

Earlier this month, Boucher was forced to cancel shows in Calgary, Winnipeg and Saskatoon. She told fans she was taking a break to deal with tinnitus (a ringing in the ears) and some trouble with hearing loss.

The singer has vowed to update fans shortly regarding whether her cancelled concerts would be rescheduled.
