The newspaper for the Vatican has listed what it calls a semi-serious guide to good music, which includes Michael Jackson's Thriller album and Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon.
L'Osservatore Romano, a weekly newspaper issued by the Holy See, calls them classic albums that one should have when stranded on a desert island.
Among the divine pickings are:
- Revolver, The Beatles.
- Supernatural, Carlos Santana.
- Rumours, Fleetwood Mac.
- If I Could Only Remember My Name, David Crosby.
- Achtung Baby, U2.
- (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, Oasis.
- Graceland, Paul Simon.
Published since 1861, the newspaper follows the Pope's public activities, provides editorials by Catholic Church executives and publishes official Vatican documents.
It does have a daily Italian edition.

- Spider-Man trailer: fresh take or more of the same?by Arts Online Feb. 7, 2012 5:15 PM Spider-Man? Yes. Amazing? Maybe. But considering the previous movie franchise ended a mere five years ago and that we've been bombarded with stories about the troubled Broadway musical adaptation since then, this reboot does beg the question: Do we really need to revisit Spider-Man?
