Grammy organizers have enlisted a handful of past winners to bring some star power to the first-ever nominations concert this December.

Blues legend B.B. King (14-time Grammy winner), exuberant rockers Foo Fighters (six-time Grammy winners) and Canadian pop superstar Céline Dion (five-time Grammy winner) are among the high-profile acts on the lineup so far for the live concert on Dec. 3, organizers announced on Wednesday.

Other artists slated to take the stage for the evening broadcast from Los Angeles include singer-songwriter John Mayer and teen country star Taylor Swift. Further acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Organizers announced the inaugural, one-hour, prime-time special earlier this month.

The performance-packed show will reveal nominations in at least six categories in advance of the Grammy Awards — set for Feb. 8, 2009.

Usually, a selection of nominees are announced by a gaggle of chart-topping performers at a ceremony aired by U.S. morning news shows.

Like many other award shows, the Grammys have been plagued with declining ratings over the past few years.
