Officials at an Italian hospital have revealed opera tenor Luciano Pavarotti is undergoing more tests related to his pancreatic cancer after the singer was admitted in early August.
The 71-year-old remains at the Modena Polyclinic after being hospitalized Aug. 8 because of a high fever.

Pavarotti's wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, had said she expected him to be released within days: "He is calm, he is talking and joking."
But that was not the case. A hospital statement released on Monday said while the fever is gone, Pavarotti's stay was extended for "the opportunity to conduct further tests related to" the cancer.
The opera star had cancer surgery in July 2006 in New York, when Pavarotti was in the midst of his farewell tour.
The tenor has endured at least five rounds of chemotherapy and has made no public appearances since the surgery.
Prior to Pavarotti's Aug. 8 hospitalization, Mantovani told fans at a concert held in singer's honour that her husband was feeling better and was working on a new album.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the most dangerous forms of the disease and infections are a common risk for people undergoing treatment.

FILM REVIEW: Men in Black 3 by Eli Glasner May. 25, 2012 11:40 AM Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back in the action sequel Men in Black 3, a third instalment of a series now 15 years old. Though new addition Josh Brolin manages some amazing mimicry as a younger version of Jones, the story doesn't measure up to the weird and wonderful charms of the original, says film reviewer Eli Glasner.
