Sporting his signature tight jeans and shirtless torso, punk icon Iggy Pop demonstrated that age is just a number while performing on Saturday for his 60th birthday.

The grandfather of punk effortlessly completed his 80-minute set with the energy of a teenager during a tour stop with his reunited band the Stooges at San Francisco's Warfield Theatre.

Baring his freakishly ripped torso, the front man recklessly dove off the stage into the waiting arms of fans for a bit of crowd surfing, despite his senior status, Reuters reported.

During the song No Fun, Pop invited those being battled and bruised in the mosh pit to join him on stage for a bit of song and dance.

Balloons donning an image of Pop cascaded over the crowd toward the end of the set. The band teamed up with fans for a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday as Pop accepted homemade presents from his admirers, including a T-shirt that read "Birthday Boy Iggy."

Pop is currently on tour with the Stooges' original members Ron Asheton and Scott Asheton to promote their latest release The Weirdness.

Originally forming in 1967, the Stooges met with mediocre commercial success but were able to establish their legacy as the original punks who heavily influenced the Sex Pistols and the Ramones.

The band survived the next decade while in a haze of drugs and alcohol, only to self-destruct in 1974 after three full-length releases.

With the help of David Bowie, Pop established himself as a solo artist and went on to produce such memorable songs as Lust for Life, I'm Bored and The Passenger.

The Stooges will wrap up their North American tour in early May before heading to Europe to promote their album.
