Globe and Mail readers in British Columbia will have an extra edition on Sundays during the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

The newspaper announced Friday it will publish a Sunday newspaper in B.C. during the Olympics, which run from Feb. 12-28.

"Readers will be able to follow the story of the Games seamlessly from the opening ceremonies to the closing ceremonies," said Jim Jennings, the Globe's associate publisher for British Columbia, in a statement.

That means three editions, on Feb. 14, 21 and 28, will be available on newsstands in the province and for home subscribers in the Lower Mainland region, which includes Vancouver and Whistler, in addition to Victoria.

Although the special editions will only be available in B.C., the content will be available online.

The Globe plans to have a daily Winter Games section for all editions throughout the country and is boosting staff at its B.C. bureau from 16 to more than 50 for the duration of the Games.

The Globe is owned by CTVglobemedia. CTV is the official network of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
