The assault charge against the Black Eyed Peas' manager — stemming from allegations made by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton this summer — has been dropped.

Liborio Molina had been accused of punching the American blogger, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, at an after-party at a Toronto nightclub in June. The band and Lavandeira had been in town for the annual MuchMusic Video Awards.

The alleged scuffle took place after Lavandeira admittedly had exchanged heated words with band frontman Will.i.am. An online battle ensued via a flurry of tweet messages and video statements.

According to an agreement announced in Toronto on Wednesday, Molina has written a letter of apology to Lavandeira and agreed not to contact him, except through a lawyer.

Molina has also agreed to make a charitable donation, cannot carry any weapons for 12 months and can't come within 100 metres of the Toronto nightclub where the alleged incident took place.
