(CBC) It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since the much-feared arrival of Y2K. While the promised chaos never came, it nonetheless set the tone for a tense decade. What’s even harder to believe is that there isn’t widespread agreement on a name for the past 10 years. Is it the Zeroes? The Nils? The Oh-Ohs? The Oughts, the Oughties, or as the British say, the Naughties?
Whatever you call it, the decade has been an eventful, soul-searching yet exciting one for pop culture. The week of Nov. 2 - 6, CBC News takes a look back at the most important films, music, books and trends of the decade — which, for simplicity’s sake, we’re calling the 2000s.

FILM REVIEW: Men in Black 3 by Eli Glasner May. 25, 2012 11:40 AM Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back in the action sequel Men in Black 3, a third instalment of a series now 15 years old. Though new addition Josh Brolin manages some amazing mimicry as a younger version of Jones, the story doesn't measure up to the weird and wonderful charms of the original, says film reviewer Eli Glasner.
