Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett has been released from a Los Angeles hospital after being treated for bleeding resulting from a medical procedure in Germany to treat her anal cancer, according to news reports.

People.com says the 62-year-old actor, who was first diagnosed in 2006, was hospitalized in Los Angeles last weekend after a routine treatment for anal cancer, which has spread to her liver.

The procedure caused bleeding inside her abdominal wall.

Fawcett's physician, Dr. Lawrence Piro, told People that Fawcett left the hospital Thursday with longtime companion Ryan O'Neal. Piro says Fawcett is looking forward to celebrating Easter at home.

A call Friday to a representative for Fawcett wasn't immediately returned.

A Wing and a Prayer, a documentary about Fawcett's cancer fight, is expected to be shown this year and is slated for broadcast by NBC.
