Model and actress Lisa Ray will host the second season of Top Chef Canada, after Thea Andrews stepped down from the post.
Top Chef Canada, a spinoff of the U.S. reality competition, asks chefs from across the country to compete in weekly challenges. The winner gets $100,000, a kitchen worth $30,000 and the Canada's Top Chef title.
The show stirred up a pot of trouble in its first season, after putting horse meat on the menu.
Ray, star of Water and Bollywood/Hollywood, had to step away from acting in 2009 when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
But the cancer is in remission and she appeared on stage this summer in Luminato production Taj.
In her Twitter feed, Ray said she is "very excited" to take up such a "delicious gig."
"Grabbed an amazing opportunity to taste Canada's best on offer!" she tweeted.
Andrews, who hosted the first season of the Food Network Canada show, recently had a second baby.
The second season of Top Chef Canada premieres March 12, 2012.
