With his celebrity roast approaching, Justin Bieber has turned up the heat on one of his preferred roasters: fellow Canadian Seth Rogen.
In a series of tweets, Bieber pleaded with the Pineapple Express star to participate in The Roast of Justin Bieber, which airs March 30 on the Comedy Network.
Bieber, who just turned 21, asked Rogen to check his voicemail and created the hashtag "#WeWantSeth."
Bieber and Rogen have history, dating back to January 2014 when Rogen declared on Twitter that Bieber was a piece of excrement.
Rogen clarified later that Bieber had requested to meet him backstage at a German talk show, then subsequently acted "non-chalant" about the introduction.
Bieber later replied via Twitter and apologized that he didn't "bow down" to Rogen. He added that he felt a "bit shy" because he loved Rogen's movies.
With his tweets Monday, Bieber referenced their past.
"Come on man. Check your voicemail. I took it like a man as you blasted a nervous kid fan of yours (me). Now I'm a man. Roast me!" tweeted Bieber directly at Rogen.
"I'm still your biggest fan. Even after The Interview," he added. "That's dedication. Roast me!"
Bieber signed the missive by referencing Rogen's off-colour slur, followed by a winking emoticon.
Kevin Hart will host the Comedy Central roast, which has already confirmed appearances from comedians Hannibal Buress and Jeff Ross.
