The world watched Ted Williams skyrocket to fame, but the "man with the golden voice" soon crashed back down to earth.

"Crack grabbed a hold of me like no other drug," admitted the internet sensation, who was discovered while living on the street and then flooded with media attention and job offers.

"Sometimes I still think about it and it gets overwhelming," said Williams, who has been clean for several months.

Williams details his highs and lows in a new memoir titled A Golden Voice. He talked to CBC's Connect with Mark Kelley about his drug addiction, his time in the limelight and how he struggled with both.
