The star-studded, upcoming film retelling the story of Alice in Wonderland has landed a royal audience ahead of its debut in March.

Tim Burton's fantastical 3-D adaption of Lewis Carroll's classic story will have its world premiere in London before Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, on Feb. 25.

The film will be released on March 5.

Set for London's Leicester Square, the premiere will be a fundraiser for The Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts, organizers announced Wednesday.

Burton's Alice in Wonderland stars frequent collaborator Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Burton's partner Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen of Hearts, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and ingenue Mia Wasikowka as Alice.

Also showcased in the cast are a host of prominent U.K. actors, including Matt Lucas, Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Christopher Lee and Barbara Windsor — with most of the stars expected to grace the premiere's red carpet in London.

Recent movies that have had royal audiences include 2009's The Lovely Bones and the 2008 James Bond film Quantum of Solace.
