The Toronto International Film Festival has announced a lineup of free films and events for the public featuring appearances by singers Neil Young and Joan Baez, as well as directors Jonathan Demme and George A. Romero.
All four will be part of a program of free films being shown in the city's downtown Yonge-Dundas Square.
Horror master Romero will appear at the screening of his 1968 cult classic Night of the Living Dead on Sept 12.

Young and Demme will host the screening of their concert film The Neil Young Trunk Show on Sept. 14. Baez will perform on Sept. 18 at the unspooling of her new documentary American Masters - Joan Baez.
Other screenings include concert and musical films including Stop Making Sense, Rattle and Hum, The Last Waltz and Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man.
Silent films such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Steamboat Bill Jr. are also being shown.
Organizers are holding a zombie walk and swing-dancing lessons.
Several art installations at galleries and institutions across the city are also free.
Canadian director Don McKellar has created several videos with the cellphone at the centrepiece of stories featuring women in different foreign locations.
Actress Isabella Rossellini has adapted her shorts, Green Porno — about how insects mate — into a special installation that includes video and sculptures of sea creatures. A talk and screening will take place with Rossellini and marine biologist Claudio Campagna on Sept. 10.
Other video art projects include new works by Thai filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethaku , Danish artist Jesper Just and Canadian Mark Lewis — who will feature a selection of videos about Toronto as well as his pieces from the Canada pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale.
The 34th Toronto International Film Festival runs Sept. 10 to 19.

FILM REVIEW: Men in Black 3 by Eli Glasner May. 25, 2012 11:40 AM Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back in the action sequel Men in Black 3, a third instalment of a series now 15 years old.
