On Tuesday, Hollywood's academy announced 134 new members from the film community, who will be able to vote on the Oscars.
Other invitees included Hugh Jackman, who hosted this year's Academy Awards, and Danny Boyle, who won an Oscar for his direction of Slumdog Millionaire.
Invitations were also extended to Casey Affleck, Emily Blunt, Viola Davis, Anne Hathaway, James McAvoy, Amy Ryan and Michelle Williams.
There were 166 slots open this year, but the academy, an honorary body, chose to fill only 134 of them.
The academy has held its voting membership at just under 6,000 since 2003.
The new members will be welcomed into the academy at a reception in Beverly Hills in September.
Rogen, a 27-year-old actor, screenwriter and producer, was born and raised in Vancouver.
Cera, 21, who starred in Year One, Superbad, Juno and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, hails from Brampton, Ont.
