Wesley Snipes, who is wanted in the U.S. on tax fraud charges, will continue filming the movie Gallowwalker on location in Namibia, his producer said Monday.

Snipes — who starred in the Blade movies, Unstoppable and White Men Can't Jump — plays a cursed gunman whose victims come back from the dead in Gallowwalker.

Snipes, 44, is the lead actor in the movie being filmed in the desert near the town of Swakob.

The shooting in Namibia is not expected to wrap up until December, said producer Joanne Reay.

"We are shooting and we are continuing to shoot," said Reay. "We are aware of the issue around the tax charges but we are not discussing it."

On Oct. 17, officials in Tampa, Fla., issued a warrant for Snipes, who faces eight counts of tax fraud.

Authorities said he received $12 million US in tax refunds illegally between 1996 and 1997 and failed to file a tax return for five years.

Legal officials said they couldn't arrest Snipes because they didn't know where he was.

It is not anticipated that U.S. authorities will follow him to Namibia.
