(McClelland and Stewart) Created by Guelph, Ont.-based graphic novelist Scott Chantler, Two Generals is a moving account of the friendship between two young Canadian officers who took part in the liberation of France during the Second World War. One of those two officers was Chantler’s grandfather. In the following photo essay, the artist describes how and why he created the book.
