U.S. boy found at Toronto hotel, Amber Alert cancelled
Police have called off an Amber Alert for a U.S. boy who went missing in the Niagara Region, with officers confirming late Thursday morning that he was found at a hotel in downtown Toronto.
Earlier Thursday, police issued an Amber Alert for a nine-year-old boy who was believed to have been abducted in the Niagara Region of southern Ontario on Wednesday night.
Police had been looking for a 2007 Mazda sedan. They had also been trying to locate the boy's mother and his uncle.
Just after 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, police reported that they had pulled over the vehicle near Martin Grove Road and Rexdale Boulevard.
Shortly thereafter, the Amber Alert was cancelled.
Police said the boy was with his mother when he was found. The boy's uncle was located and arrested at a separate location.
