Amanda Lindhout: Back to Africa

Amanda Lindhout, a Canadian woman who was held prisoner in Somalia for 15 months, recently returned to drought-stricken East Africa. CBC's Curt Petrovich joined Lindhout at a Kenyan refugee camp and spoke to her about her effort to help the people of Somalia.

Lindhout's Global Enrichment Foundation raises money to send Somali women to university, start small businesses and develop their potential.  Lindhout's latest plan is to send every Somali child living in the refugee camps in neighbouring Kenya to school.  The expected cost is $60 million.
