Your 2013 Budget Calculator

The New Brunswick government is preparing to unveil its latest budget in March. The province’s projected deficit has risen to $411 million up from the $183 million that was forecasted last year. Finance Minister Blaine Higgs finished his annual pre-budget consultation tour in February. During those hearings, Higgs outlined the difficult choices that need to be made in order to balance the budget.

Your 2013 Budget Calculator is designed to be an interactive tool to illustrate the tough choices being faced by the provincial government. The feature offers several revenue-raising options and departments to increase or cut spending to in the upcoming budget.
