Nationalizing the NB Power debate

Progressive Conservative Leader David Alward may not have intended it, but he kicked off a real debate over the province’s energy future on Thursday. Alward told CBC’s Information Morning Fredericton that nationalizing the province’s energy system was an option if he won the Sept. 27 election and the NB Power sale had already gone through.

And he told the Moncton Times & Transcript that the province should move away from its fossil fuel-burning power plants, Coleson Cove and Belledune, faster.
