Russell Epstein studies the parts of the brain underlying visual scene perception and spatial navigation in humans. In this interview, he talks about an area of the brain that he learned recognizes places, whether we've seen them before or not, and another area of the brain that recognizes only places that we've seen before.

Ken Jennings is the author of 'Maphead' and well-known Jeopardy champion. He talks about his fascination with maps and why others around him aren't so fascinated. He also addresses the contentious issue of whether men are better navigators than women.
