Wild Canada: Shooting a panorama from the water

Wild Canada photographer Amanda McNaughton has to get creative to shoot panoramas in our remote locations. Although the ideal conditions for a panorama are flat ground and a level tripod head, we are putting Amanda into all kinds of conditions where that isn't possible.

While the team was filming on the West Coast this year, Amanda wanted to shoot from the boat in order to get some distance from the land. The boat kept rocking and turning, making the tripod completely impractical. Fortunately she is very flexible (literally!), and does what it takes to get the shot. See the results above!

In the new year, we'll be launching a website and book app which will feature more stunning photography from the Wild Canada crew. The series debuts in March.
