Hot on the heels of its recent landmark 50th anniversary season, The Nature of Things perspective is needed now more than ever, as the world around us continues to change ever faster. Here Canadians young and old can find stories that are as insightful as they are entertaining.

This season The Nature of Things continues to explore the role of science in our lives, to investigate new technologies and highlight the beauty of our natural environment. With an eye towards past, present and future, this season the series runs the gamut from the fascinating future-world of nanotechnology to potential new medical treatments, from re-creations of ancient civilizations to a polar bear's eye-view of life on land in summer.

Our fall season kicks off with a fascinating new three-part series on the future role of nanotechnology in our lives: It's a universe where scientists explore matter on a scale 80,000 times smaller than a human hair, learning to manipulate the most intimate mechanics of life and revealing a mysterious and unknown realm -- the world of the infinitesimally small.
