Most auto accidents are caused by the four D's: distraction, drowziness, drunkenness and driver error. The fix is simple, remove the driver from the equation. That's why companies and research institutions all over the world are in a race to build the next generation of automobile - a driverless car.

Jennifer Gardy visits the Centre for Automotive Research at Stanford to take a look at their latest model and chat with Executive Director Sven Beiker about the future of driverless cars and when we'll see them on the road.
