For the Love of Elephants: Return to Nairobi

Take a peek at some of the photos taken by the creators of For The Love of Elephants for our second doc in the series.

The followup to the acclaimed documentary follows SITIES the orphaned elephant, now three years old, as it prepares to move southward for the next phase of reintegration into the wild at the Ithumba Stockade in Tsavo National Park, Kenya.

The production crew was in Nairobi and captured footage and images of young orphaned elephants at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, older elephants in the process of being rehabilitated back into the wildlife elephant population of the National Park, and the day to day goings on of the nursery and stockade.

Tune in to The Nature of Things in Fall 2013 to get a deeper look into the fascinating world of the Sheldrick Trust, it's devoted workers and the lovable giants that continue on their hopeful journey after a harrowing start in the Kenyan wild.
