Things are getting nutty these days here at the Nature of Things! We're working on a new episode about urban squirrels and squirrel behaviour, currently scheduled to air in the Fall of 2012. Specifically, we're tracking the city slickers of the squirrel world -- the eastern grey squirrel, or Sciurus carolinensis, which is the most common type of squirrel that you see running around the city everyday (here in Toronto, we often see black squirrels, which are a colour morph of Sciurus carolinensis).
Whether they're tearing up your tulip bulbs, snacking at your birdfeeder or
driving your dogs crazy, love 'em or hate 'em, we want to hear about your
squirrel-related stories, situations or experiences here in the big city of
Toronto.
We're looking for places where high numbers of squirrels hang out -- maybe they're in your backyard, your shed, attic or some other unexpected place -- if you've got an interesting squirrels story or location to share leave us a comment below or contact us at Vance.Chow@cbc.ca.
