The Specrolite Ensemble - Sean Rice, Vernon Regehr & Patrick Cashin
The Specrolite Ensemble makes its debut at Memorial University's School of Music. This new trio consists of clarinetist, Sean Rice, cellist, Vernon Regehr and pianist, Patrick Cashin. Named after an iridescent rock, this trio reflects the shimmering gradations of specrolite in their sparkling performance.

James Keane and John Doyle at Gower Street United Church
An addition to the St. Patrick's weekend! Celebrated through his touring days with Ryan's Fancy, Irish accordion player James Keane returns to St. John's after a 28-year absence to astound audiences again with his mastery of the Irish button accordion. Keane couldn't ask for a finer partner for his concert at Gower Street United Church than guitarist, singer and fellow countryman John Doyle.

Glory Days of Ryan's Fancy - Fergus O'Byrne

It's nearly 30 years since Ryan's Fancy disbanded but during its time together this legendary Irish/Newfoundland folk group, consisting of Denis Ryan, Fergus O'Byrne and Dermot O'Reilly, connected with fans throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Their national TV show, filmed throughout the province, is now an archival snap shot of a bygone era. In music and stories from the glory days of Ryan's Fancy, Fergus O'Byrne takes us on the road with the band and we'll hear music from their 2 CD compilation retrospective "What A Time! A Forty Year Celebration."
